Graduation is the completion of all degree or certificate requirements. Commencement is the ceremony that takes place in May to celebrate the completion of a degree or certificate.

Apply to Graduate
You’re so close! Here are a few steps that need to be completed to ensure you’re set to graduate from JCCC.
- Determine if you are eligible to graduate
- Apply for graduation (required to get your diploma - does not sign you up for Commencement Ceremony)
Participate in the Commencement Ceremony
We highly encourage you to participate in JCCC’s Commencement Ceremony, but it is optional. Your family is invited, too!
- Starting mid-February, RSVP to attend the Commencement Ceremony
- Purchase a regalia package (that includes your cap and gown) and other graduation-related items at the Bookstore
- Order graduation announcements
- Plan for the big day
