You and your parents may be eligible for the following types of loans:
Federal Direct Loans
Federal Direct Loan funds are borrowed directly from the Department of Education. These low interest loans are offered to students who are enrolled at least half time. Eligibility for these funds is determined using your FAFSA results.
Regulations: Please be aware that certain policies and federal regulations can affect the timing of loan disbursement.
Federal Direct PLUS Parent Loan
The Direct PLUS Loan is a low-cost student loan offered to parents of students currently enrolled at JCCC. This loan requires a student FAFSA.
Alternative (Private) Unsubsidized Loans
Alternative Unsubsidized Loans provide an additional way for students to obtain educational loans through a variety of lenders such as a bank or financial institution, not the federal government.
