Learn the fundamentals in designing, installing, implementing, and securing computer networking resources to start your career.

Information Networking - connect people, departments and companies

Learn problem-solving skills as you perform actual work: 

  • Install and configure an operating system (OS)  
  • Identify and apply fundamental security concepts  
  • Learn the network operations and requirements for Microsoft, Linux, and Cisco 
  • Build simple local area networks (LANs)  
  • Perform basic configurations for routers and switches  
  • Conduct basic network configuration and troubleshooting  
  • Configure and secure a basic WLAN

Choose from program electives such as Beginning Programming in Python, Introduction to Project Management, AWS Cloud Foundations, Digital Forensics, and Ethical Hacking.

Earn college credit with an internship

Apply classroom learning in an IT business setting. Work with local employers, with oversight from your instructors, to gain valuable hands-on experience you can add to your résumé.  

Take advantage of flexible course options. Complete the 33-credit hour program as either a part-time or full-time student. Select the class times and delivery methods that work best for you. JCCC offers in-person, online, and evening classes for your convenience.
