Fill out an Articulated Credit Application. Once completed, you’re eligible to enroll in hospitality courses!

Articulated Credit for ProStart®, the National Restaurant Association and American Culinary Federation

If you have met the national ProStart®, the American Culinary Federation (ACF) or the National Restaurant Association (NRA) requirements and can provide the required documentation, the following credits will be awarded on your JCCC transcript at no cost:

ProStart or National Restaurant Association or ACF Certificate (no more than two years old)

Professional Cooking I
(3 credits)
Credit by exams and in addition to passing the written proficiency tests (3-4 plus final), passing a hands-on practical test administered in the kitchen is also required. Students must first make an appointment. Contact the Hospitality Management office at 913-469-8500, ext. 3626. Testing will be written and practical. After passing the written test, students must schedule the practical exam with the department. Students will be responsible for the practical examination food.

Junior Culinarian
(3 credits)
Students who graduate from an ACF accredited high school program with their Certified
Fundamentals Cook (CFC) certification can articulate this elective. A copy of the certificate is
required.
